The Liberation of Tears

June 8, 2024

In the stillness of the night, I find my truth,
That the most honest thing is letting tears run loose.
To feel, to express, in sorrow or in cheer,
For happiness is fleeting, a moment to hold dear.

Behind these walls I’ve built, I often hide,
It’s safer here, in shadows, than to let emotions ride.
But in this fortress, I find I am not free,
Stuck in my silence, a prisoner of me.

The weight of unspoken words grows each day,
A heavy burden that won’t fade away.
I long to break free, to shatter these walls,
To cry, to laugh, to feel it all.

For in my tears, there’s a release, a new dawn,
A way to move forward, to where I belong.
So when weariness consumes and walls confine,
I’ll find my voice, and express what’s mine.

No longer stuck, no longer restrained,
In honesty and tears, my freedom is gained.
To feel is to live, in moments pure and real,
In every tear, my true self revealed.
