The Reward of Self-Healing

December 16, 2024

The healing journey, for me, has been one of the most difficult experiences because of the awareness it brings—the painful realization of how much I betrayed myself. I ignored my self-worth, neglected self-love, and placed external needs above my own.

This self-betrayal is not easy to confront. It’s challenging to see all the ways I failed to honor myself while expecting others to meet my unspoken needs. The hardest truth I’ve learned is that peace doesn’t come from waiting for apologies or external validation—it comes from understanding, acceptance, and self-forgiveness. I sought knowledge because knowledge, for me, is power. It’s how I navigate life and find peace. When I began to understand myself, I found freedom—a state of mind that isn’t dependent on others or on material wealth.

Money can give you more, but I don’t believe it buys freedom. True freedom is the reward of healing—a mind unburdened, with nothing more to want.

That freedom is priceless.
