Access Isn’t Intention

May 18, 2025

Being near someone doesn’t mean you matter to them. Proximity can be accidental, habitual, or even convenient—but priority is deliberate. It’s in the seat saved, the plan made with you in mind, the intention behind the presence. Too often, we confuse access for value, mistaking inclusion for importance. But true connection isn’t about being remembered when it’s easy—it’s about being considered when it’s not. If someone’s presence feels like a favor rather than a choice, it’s time to reconsider the role you’re playing in a script that doesn’t prioritize you.

It’s really about authenticity, in the end.
