The Weight of Intellectual Loneliness

August 20, 2025

Most of life feels like a performance. Smiles, scripts, small talk. Safe answers. But once your mind stretches past the surface, you can’t go back — shallow waters feel suffocating.

I keep my circle small now. Only people who think. Who don’t answer from fear. Who live in the nuance instead of running from it. Rare as hell, but when I find them, I don’t let go.

Dating? Feels like theater. Masks everywhere. And I can’t settle anymore. I’ve done that — and those choices became my best teachers. Now I only want raw honesty. Scarred, messy, hopeful, real.

Because the deepest freedom isn’t being liked for the mask. It’s being seen for the unfiltered self — and still chosen.
