Burn to Begin Again

June 17, 2025

Sometimes, there’s nothing left to do but burn it all down—not in anger, but in awareness. That quiet, inner recognition that the version of you that got you here cannot take you where you’re meant to go next.

When I read the words in that screenshot, something inside me simply whispered: “Yes.” I couldn’t agree more. I didn’t need to analyze or argue with it. It just… landed. Like truth often does.

Letting go is not glamorous. It’s not fireworks and fanfare. It’s subtle and slow. You realize that the conversations you used to enjoy don’t feel the same. The people you were once tethered to now feel like they belong to a different chapter. You don’t resonate with the same dreams. The ideas you used to cling to now feel like clothes that don’t fit. It’s not bad. It’s just… different. And that difference carries grief.

But underneath that grief is something else: freedom. A blank slate. The space to become. And yes, it’s scary. Because when you let go of who you were, before the “new you” arrives, there’s a strange in-between. A waiting room of the soul. But if you stay with it—sit in the warmth of that fire long enough—something extraordinary begins to stir.

A new idea. A new truth. A new connection. One that’s rooted not in who you were, but in who you’ve become.

Maybe we’re not falling apart. Maybe we’re just molting.

You’re allowed to reset. In fact, sometimes, it’s the only path forward. Don’t be afraid to burn down what no longer fits. What rises after may surprise you.
