If telling the truth gets you silence…
If telling the truth gets you labeled as unwell..
If telling the truth makes someone more concerned with how they’re perceived than what’s real…
You’re not in a safe space.
You’re in the presence of someone who isn’t capable of holding your truth because it doesn’t serve their image.
And that’s the seed I want to plant.
This isn’t about “us vs. them” — it’s about recognizing traits. Being present. Protecting your own reality. I still wish them well from afar because I do understand that their disorder stems from their own unprocessed wounds that they carry within so avoidance is what protects them from feeling shame.
So many of us spent years being manipulated into doubting ourselves— into a different version of reality just because the truth makes someone uncomfortable.
So..love yourself – that’s the real work to be done for oneself because it’s when you realize you are in control of your reality – not anyone else.
