If I were to quote something about the world we’re building with AI, I wouldn’t try to sound smart — I’d try to sound terrifying. Because this moment in time is terrifying if you really sit with it.
AI is advancing fast — faster than most people can keep up. The energy right now? Build the next thing. Launch the next app. Sell the next breakthrough. Everyone wants to touch the promise of AI. But almost no one wants to touch the pain of being human.
The emotions, the unresolved wounds — they’re the real operating system running our lives. And yet, we’re skipping over it. Fast-forwarding through our own depth in favor of performance, speed, and profit.
Look around. There are already mixed realities. One person’s truth is another person’s lie. Watch CNN and Fox News back-to-back — it’s like two separate dimensions. Multiply that by a thousand as AI deepens echo chambers, tailors content to the individual, and drives us further apart.
Yes, I believe AI can and will do good — especially in healthcare. I’m excited about that. But I’m deeply worried about the people being left behind. The ones who aren’t in a place to “just learn AI.” They matter. Their humanity matters.
And what about the next generations? Are we giving them the space to feel, or just teaching them to adapt? If everything is moving faster, and no one is helping them slow down, what are we shaping them into?
I think we’re in a massive transition — a reality shift. But we can’t just celebrate the tech. We have to ask harder questions. We have to feel the weight of this moment and lead from that place.
Because if we lose our humanity, what’s the point of the future?
