The Hardest Part of Healing

One of the most difficult challenges I’ve faced is realizing that my trauma responses became someone else’s guide. I unknowingly revealed my deepest wounds, trusting that they would be safe, only to have them used against me. This betrayal, where my openness and vulnerability were turned into tools for someone else to navigate the relationship, has been one of the hardest things to get over. It’s not just the hurt, but the innocence lost that makes forgiveness so much more difficult.
