The Last Bond: A Testament of Words

May 19, 2024

In a world of whispers, truths, and lies,
Where shadows dance in darkened skies,
One light remains, a steadfast sound,
Our word, our bond, where trust is found.

Through storms of doubt and seas of fear,
When silence screams, and hearts don’t hear,
It’s all we have, this sacred thread,
A promise kept, not lightly said.

When gold has tarnished, riches fade,
And all that’s real begins to jade,
Our word endures, a beacon bright,
In darkest times, our guiding light.

No walls, no chains, no silver keys,
Can bind a soul like honesty.
In every vow, in each decree,
We weave our web of unity.

So let us speak with hearts sincere,
With words that hold and deeds that steer,
For in this fragile, fleeting span,
Our word’s our bond, the core of man.

When all else fails, and hope seems gone,
Remember this, as dawns do dawn:
In every echo, near or far,
Our word, our bond, shows who we are.
