The Paradox of Unity

May 16, 2024

In spaces where our hearts convene,
Let the winds of freedom intervene.
Bound not by chains, but by the dance,
In love’s light, we take a chance.

A love that’s deep, yet doesn’t bind,
Two shores where souls, adrift, can find.
We fill each cup with separate streams,
Yet drink together from our dreams.

Share the bread, but keep your slice,
In joy and song, we’ll pay the price.
Dance close, but keep your rhythm true,
Alone, yet connected in all we do.

Hearts given, not to hold, but share,
In life’s great hand, we find our care.
Stand together, but not too near,
As temple pillars, strong and clear.

Like oaks and cypress, side by side,
We grow in strength, our love implied.
Not in shadow, but in the light,
Together, apart, our love takes flight.
