Understanding, Not Judgment

October 23, 2024

We often encounter people who react in ways that seem disproportionate, but when we step back and consider that many adults are carrying childhood wounds, their actions make more sense. Unhealed trauma can cause individuals to mimic what they think adulthood looks like, even when they are still grappling with their inner pain.

When we stop taking things personally and recognize that others are often reacting from their own unresolved wounds, we begin to see that judgment is futile. Instead of engaging, we can simply step away, allowing space for our own growth and theirs.

Understanding, not judgment, frees us.
