The Narrow Doorway

November 8, 2025

Some of us weren’t born into spacious skies; we were born into rooms with no windows, taught to breathe stale air and call it normal, until one day a hairline crack in the wall became an earthquake and everything we’d braced with smiles finally fell through the floor. What breaks you is rarely the first strike; it’s the last soft tap that meets a lifetime of hidden fractures, the so‑called icing that appears harmless until it reveals the whole cake was already collapsing inside. If you’ve never worn a wound like a second spine, you might call us strange or sad; but those who walk this path know the wound is not only where the pain lives, it’s where the compass grows teeth and points to a truer north.

Call it karma, call it conditioning, call it the old architecture of craving and clinging, but suffering has roots that don’t rise just because we wish them to; they loosen when we learn to name them, see them, sit with them, and unlearn the worship of what hurts us. Some take the straight road; others arrive at a T‑junction where one turn repeats the cycle and the other turns you toward yourself with no map, only the honesty to keep walking through heat that burns away what isn’t yours to carry. We didn’t volunteer for this syllabus; the assignment arrived stamped with our shadows: find the cause, witness the craving, end the lie, keep the light lit long enough to hand it to the next trembling set of hands.

If you’ve never understood us, try this: not everything broken is a failure; some of us are breaking open, which is a direction, not a diagnosis, and the doorway is narrow because it was designed to fit only the truth we can finally bear to bring through.
